di Istruzione Superiore Sebastiano Satta, MACOMER
LTT was held in Italy under the leadership of the School of Istituto di Istruzione Superiore Sebastiano Satta. The host school, which receives intense solar power, has been chosen as the leader for this LTT. LTT activities, small group work, brainstorming, presentations, workshops, demonstrations, project-based learning, field visits, methods and materials development students using problem solving, critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity skills were developed. LTT was held for 5 days.
1st day
- slide show introducing schools, countries and cultures,
meeting with question and answer event,
- presentation of the host school on "solar energy
and its uses",- Macomer city tour.
2nd day
-"multiple intelligence theory" about the host
school's counselors to provide mentoring to teachers,
- a presentation about each school and its uses the solar
energy potential of their country, in mixed groups the students brainstorm
about the use of solar energy,
- the drama teacher of the host school mentoring "in
acid rain is destroying History" - themed drama, effectiveness and social
media sharing.
3rd day
- about solar cells, types, modules and photovoltaic
power systems Sassari UNV. seminar of Academician,
- training visit to the solar panel production facility
of Tasilo industrial region,
- introduction of the food culture, folk dances and songs
of Italy with the participation of parents.
4th day

vehicles with stem, shared these works with E-Twinning project partners,
- observation of the destruction caused by acid rains on
historical monuments in the ancient Roman theatre of Cagliari.
5th day
- teacher Development Study,
- digital panel preparation and product exhibition,
- students ' missing learning with the contribution of
the host teacher to eliminate,
- evaluation meetings and writing progress reports.
At This LTT;
-Students explored concrete examples of the sun's Energy, Solar vehicle, solar powered oven and they developed key skills by designing a method with the stem,
-"multiple intelligence theory" about mentoring to the teachers to be done-and with the examples of the solar oven, solar car presentations, lesson plans materials to be developed with the addition of different teaching, learning groups in different countries, interacting with students to develop teamwork and language skills, students gained self-confidence in multicultural environments,
-The acid-base subject of
the chemistry course was processed, the experience gained with this LTT, the
teaching materials developed, and the presentations prepared were added to the
lesson plans and were used in the lessons by the teachers of the partner
schools and continuity was
Benefits of the participants
Participants had the opportunity to learn by living by
making use of solar energy, one of the edible energies, in the workshops owned
by the leading school; they observed renewable energy practices on site in the
Tasilio industrial area near the school.
- Our students designed their own unique solar-powered
vehicle using the STEM approach through teamwork and developed their key
skills by creating concrete products. They also learned the acid-base topic of
the chemistry course on-site, making changes in their lives to increase solar
energy use and reduce fossil fuel use.
- Our students were able to understand that advances
in technology could produce solutions to problems, and they were part of the
solution with their brainstorming.
- Our teachers developed different course materials.
- Creative drama work created permanent products on
social media, awareness was provided.
- The formation of original ideas was ensured through the
exchange of information.
- Organizations also increased the ability of
organization and cooperation; institutions had the ability to make
multinational projects.
- Participants were able to recognize different cultures,
overcome their prejudices, acquire foreign experience and use foreign language.
- Teachers and students were provided with the ability to
perform activities and made projects by using the e-Twinning portal.
- Equality of opportunity was achieved by the
participation of economically and socially disadvantaged students in mobility,
and by increasing the interest of students in school, their absences were
reduced.
- On-site examination of good practices in different
institutions, improvement of schools ' own management and organization, and
increase the productivity of teachers and students in the educational
environment were ensured.
- A contribution was made to the professional development
of other teachers through the mentorship of the school's psychological
counselor, who was the host on" multiple intelligence theory".
